Le Temps fort is the flagship event of the La Science de l'art festival, dedicated to bringing together artists, scientists, cultural professionals, and the public around the theme: “Truer Than Life.”

This event will take place at La Scène de Recherche, a key player in the region’s art-science scene. Together, we are offering a diverse and participatory program that explores the connections between artistic creation and scientific innovation.

10:00 a.m. Opening remarks
10:15 a.m. Start of the roundtable discussion “Truer Than Life.” Four scientists will come together to discuss the topic “More Real Than Nature” and explore the various aspects of this concept. Moderated by Marc-Williams DEBONO, President of CC91 and head of the Art & Science division.
● Marie-Loup Eustache Vallée, researcher and professor specializing in philosophy, neuropsychology, and the study of memory and personal identity. Member of Unit U1077 (University of Caen-Basse-Normandie)
● Elsa Godart, philosopher, psychoanalyst, and researcher specializing in the study of transformations in subjectivity in the digital age. Co-founder of the Institute for Research in the Ethics of the Digital Subject (IRESN).
● Mylène Pardoën, research engineer at the CNRS specializing in the archaeology of soundscapes.
● Hélène Courvoisier, Assistant Professor and researcher in animal acoustic communication at the Institute of Neurosciences (NeuroPSI) at Paris-Saclay University.
