This Is Unreal
Iconic choreographers of the experimental dance scene, Pierre Godard and Liz Santoro return with their new show, This Is Unreal.
At the intersection of dance, music, and theater, this solo piece explores the nature of truth in the age of artificial intelligence, clones, and deepfakes.
Through choreographic glitches, synthetic voices, and stage illusions, Liz Santoro creates a hybrid language in which movement becomes code and dance, an algorithm to be deciphered. A fascinating exploration of our relationship to truth, falsehood, and creativity in the face of machines.
Friday's performance will be followed by a discussion with the production team and Cécile de Bézenac, a mathematics researcher at CHArt[S] group (Complexity, Humanities, Art, Societies) at the Borelli Center.
