Sarah is a French astronaut who is about to leave Earth for a one-year mission called Proxima.
As the only woman among the astronauts, she undergoes rigorous training while preparing to be separated from her 8-year-old daughter. Inspired by real-life accounts, the film sensitively explores the dilemma between a career in space and motherhood.
The session will be followed by a discussion with Anne Bellon, a social sciences researcher and associate professor at the University of Technology of Compiègne.
