The ARRC
The Research-Creation Diploma (ARRC) is a one-year program at the intersection of the arts, sciences, and technologies, offered in collaboration with the Scène de recherche and organized by the ENS Paris-Saclay and the Graduate School “Professions in Research and Higher Education” at Paris-Saclay University.
Artistic practice, transdisciplinary experimentation, collaborative work, encounters with leading artists and scientists, practical internships…
At the intersection of creation and research, ARRC’s courses aim to help students acquire new methodologies, fostering collaborative work, autonomy, creativity, and project management skills among future scientists, professional artists, and cultural administrators.
The ARRC also fosters critical reflection on the role of science and technology in contemporary societies.
The projects of the ARRC’s Class of 2025/2026 will be presented during a grand event open to the public on Saturday, January 24, 2026.

In Research-Creation, we learn to build bridges between science, research, and the art world. The main goal is to carry out Art-Science projects—that is, projects that popularize scientific research through art or incorporate scientific research into artistic creation.
I really enjoyed this year in the ARRC program. It allowed me to take classes with students from different majors and to learn from their knowledge, experiences, and ways of thinking. These ongoing exchanges, which allow you to broaden your perspective, are, for me, one of the greatest strengths of this program—especially since the small class sizes foster a very strong sense of community and allow you to truly get to know everyone.
