Peritopia #3
• Argentella, my love – Juliette Séjourné, artist, in a research-creation residency at the Nuclear Knowledges research program (Sciences Po – International Research Center).
Reflecting on an attempted nuclear test in Corsica, Juliette Séjourné unearths clues and draws upon scientific and audio archives. Through the traces of a major collective refusal, her work intersects art, history, and nuclear policy. Implicit within it is the French military-industrial complex and its place in our lives.
• The Cypher-Lab – Louise Grebel, a graduate student in Design Research (ENS Paris-Saclay – Telecom Paris), currently working on her dissertation at the Institute for Research and Coordination in Acoustics/Music (IRCAM) and the École nationale supérieure de création industrielle – Les Ateliers.
Louise Grebel studies the synergies between movement and sound in hip-hop battles. As part of her design dissertation, she created The Cypher Lab, a participatory experience where CoMo technology enables gestures to be converted into sound and allows users to interact with musical parameters. In this battle between research and creation, dancers will control the music through their movements.
