• ExTRAS #1 Botanica – Victor Thimonier, author and director with the theater company Les Temps blancs, in residence at the Institut Diversité, Ecology and Evolution of Life (IDEEV).

A biology researcher discusses botanical classifications alongside a musical palm tree. Before them, a greenhouse haunted by the customs officer Rousseau… Drawing from a laboratory exploration, Victor Thimonier has produced this baroque unfolding of plant science. The perspectives of the artist and the scientist will intersect, allowing their echoes to be heard and their differences to be gauged.

This unique collaboration between a philosopher, an artist, and an actress invites the audience to reflect on the ecological and technological excesses of our time. Combining performances, music, and AI-distorted visual projections, digital landscapes emerge in which our humanity strives to make itself heard.
